Ohio Severe Winter Storms, Flooding and Mudslides Declared February 15, 2005

These are examples of local or national disasters that have affected
Delaware County in some manner. Ever ask yourself “what
can I do to help?” Do you think you do not have enough time
to train and register so you can make a difference? The Delaware County MRC
will change your attitude about volunteering and preparing for a disaster.
Be one of the few who take up the presidential call for 4,000 hours of
lifetime community service to help with national preparedness.
There is something you can do; medical and non-medical volunteers are needed during your community’s greatest need, during a disaster.
The Delaware County Medical Reserve Corps (DC-MRC) was established in June 2007. The Delaware County MRC is in need of licensed, certified or recently retired medical providers and licensed or paraprofessional behavioral health providers to register with the program. The Delaware County Medical Reserve Corps (DC-MRC) is coordinated by the Delaware General Health District. We have more than 100 medical and non-medical volunteers in our ranks.
The MRC Concept
was created in 2002 in response to evolving needs.
During the weeks following Sept. 11, 2001,
Americans across the country asked,
"What can I do to help?"
Here is your opportunity! The training you will receive will prepare you to assist during a disaster; the commitment is intermittent enough not to be a burden in your busy schedule. Don’t just sit there and watch and wonder what you can do during a disaster. Stand up, grab your pack and help those in greatest need. The Delaware County MRC is giving you the opportunity to serve.
