There are a variety of benefits that your school district will experience when you make the decision to go 100% tobacco-free. However, it’s important to remember that policy change takes time and it won’t happen overnight. For starters, you will need to build support for your policy in the community. You will need to draft a policy that works for your district, and you will need to present the policy to the school board for approval.

The Delaware General Health District can assist you in the steps leading up to your 100% Tobacco-Free School Policy change. For more information, contact Katie Steinbrunner at (740) 203-2084 or Katie@delawarehealth.org.
