Child Passenger Safety
In 2009, there were a total of 23,237 children between the ages of newborn to 5 that were involved in traffic crashes on Ohio's roadways. Of these, 2736 were injured and14 lost their lives.
The Delaware General Health District is dedicated to helping parents and caregivers keep children safe while riding in motor vehicles by providing the Delaware County Child Passenger Safety Program:
- Providing car seats/boosters seats
- Inspecting car seat/booster seat installations
- Providing child passenger safety education programs for children and adults
