Community Flu Clinics
Influenza is a serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. Every flu season is different, and influenza infection can affect people differently. Even healthy people can get very sick from the flu and spread it to others. People at high risk of serious flu complications include young children, pregnant women, people with chronic health conditions like asthma, diabetes, heart and lung disease and people 65 years and older.
It is the Health District’s recommendation that the best protection from getting the flu is getting a flu vaccination. Everyone from 6 months of age and older should receive a yearly flu vaccine.
DGHD accepts most private, Medicaid and Medicare insurance plans. DGHD offers a sliding fee scale for both children and adults that may reduce the cost to $0. Please call our clinic at 740-203-2040 for more information.
