Director of Assessment, Planning and Education
The Delaware General Health District seeks a F/T Director of Assessment, Planning & Education to direct public health activities related to assessment, community health improvement, and health promotion. This individual will direct and motivate a division of 18 staff and work with the Health Commissioner, Assistant Health Commissioner, Board of Health, the community and various coalitions to assure public health programs are appropriately planned, implemented, evaluated, and prioritized. Will also be responsible for leading or assisting with policy development, community health and public awareness activities, preparedness planning, and the community assessment process.
Qualified candidates must have a related Bachelor’s degree, 7 years of Public Health and 3 years supervisory experience, as well as experience with public speaking, financial/budget management, and grant writing. A Master’s degree and a state credential are preferred.
