The Delaware General Health District is dedicated to the prevention of accidental injury and death to individuals of all ages. As the lead agency of the SAFE Delaware County (Safety Awa, the Delaware General Health District partners with local law enforcement, hospital and health care providers, fire departments and emergency medical personnel, schools, businesses and community groups.
The Delaware General Health District provides education programs and resources relating to child passenger safety, bicycle safety, traffic safety and falls injury prevention to keep our county a safe place to live.
SAFE Delaware meets bi-monthly on a Thursday morning 8:30 AM - 10:00 PM, at the Delaware Police Department, located at 70 North Union Street, Delaware, Ohio 43015.
Meetings allow members to share ideas and stay up-to-date on projects in Delaware County. Membership is free to all members of the community who wish to volunteer their time to promoting safety in Delaware County.
SAFE Delaware offers resources to coalition members and provides staff to coordinate local safety campaigns and events. The Delaware General Health District and SAFE Delaware are committed to decreasing the accidental death and injury rate of Delaware County residents.
