Mission Statement

The purpose of Keep Delaware County Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, Inc., is to serve the citizens of Delaware County by developing effective public education and community improvement programs. These programs will enhance the quality of life and economic development of the community by instilling pride; positive attitude and behavior change regarding natural resource conservation, littering, recycling, proper solid waste management, and beautification.

To meet these Goals KDCB Conducts educational presentations to schools and community groups. We also provide volunteer opportunities through the Adopt-A-Roadway (Application form) and Adopt-An-Area by Kids (Application form) programs, annual River sweep, appliance drop-off, and biannual Household Hazardous Waste and Tire Drop-off, and biannual Computer Recycling Drop-off.

The Delaware Environmental Education Partnership (D.E.E.P) is an alliance of agencies, organizations, groups and individuals that provide environmental education in Delaware County.  D.E.E.P. strives to develop environmental stewards that understand their relationships with natural resources and make informed and responsible decisions to conserve these resources in Delaware County and the rest of the world.  To learn more about D.E.E.P. click here.
