Health screenings can be provided for you at health fairs, at Neighborhood Health Centers (see schedule below), scheduled events for businesses and industries and during the various clinics held at the Delaware General Health District at 3 West Winter St., Delaware ( see clinic schedule).
  • Health screening provided:
  • Blood pressure screening (free)
  • Blood sugar screening (free)
  • Cholesterol screening ($4.50 fee for total cholesterol only)
  • Hemoglobin (anemia) screening ($3.75 fee)
  • Height/weight (free)
  • Nutrition counseling (free)

Do you know the normal screening results?

  • Blood pressure
    Normal- below 120 / 80
  • Blood sugar
    Normal fasting - 70 - 120
  • Cholesterol
    Normal - 200 and below
  • Hemoglobin
    Normal - 12 and above for a female, 14 and above for a male

NEIGHBORHOOD HEALTH CENTERS

There are currently 14 different Neighborhood Health Centers (NHC) held monthly or every other month. The screenings listed above are available plus adult and childhood immunizations are also available. Click here for NHC schedule.
