DELAWARE, Oh. — The Partnership for a Healthy Delaware County (The Partnership) is preparing to launch the 2026 Community Health Assessment (CHA), an important step in understanding and improving the health of residents across the county.

The Partnership, a multi-sector coalition of local organizations, works alongside the Health District to design, implement, and evaluate community health initiatives for residents of all ages.

The 2026 CHA will include several opportunities for community input, including:
  • An anonymous survey mailed to randomly selected households for adults ages 18 and older
  • Focus groups that bring together specific populations to discuss health-related topics
  • Interviews with key community leaders and stakeholders
Data collected through these efforts will be reviewed and prioritized by community partners to guide future planning, align resources, and create action plans to improve health outcomes for all Delaware County residents.

In the coming weeks, approximately 3,400 households will receive a survey by mail. Selected residents are encouraged to participate either online or by completing the paper survey. Community participation is essential to ensuring that local health priorities reflect the needs and experiences of all residents.

“Understanding the health of our community starts with listening,” said Health Commissioner Garrett Guillozet. “The Community Health Assessment gives every resident a voice and helps ensure our future efforts are guided by real experiences and needs across Delaware County.”

Guillozet encourages all residents — especially those who receive the mailed survey — to take part in this important process.

“We ask that residents to please take the survey because your input directly shapes the programs, services, and priorities that support a healthier Delaware County,” said Guillozet.
